Overview
The Nest Learning Thermostat is the first thermostat to get ENERGY STAR certified. It learns what temperature you like and builds a schedule around yours. Since 2011, the Nest Learning Thermostat has saved billions of kWh of energy in millions of homes worldwide.* And independent studies showed that it saved people an average of 10% to 12% on heating bills and 15% on cooling bills. So in under two years, it can pay for itself!

Saving energy starts with your thermostat.
Putting in new light bulbs. Efficient appliances. Unplugging everything when you leave. It saves energy, sure. But it’s a drop in the bucket compared to what a thermostat can do. Your thermostat controls half your energy bill. And it’s wasting energy.Programmable thermostats claim savings on your energy bill. But they can’t prove it. They make you punch in every temperature change you want throughout the day, and usually you can only program 2 or 3 changes. It’s annoying and complicated – most people don’t even bother. So despite their claims, most programmed thermostats stay at the same temperature all day. And that wastes energy. Programming just doesn’t work. So Nest found a better way. And a whole new way: it learns.
The Nest Learning Thermostat works with 95% of 24 V heating and cooling systems, including gas, electric, forced air, heat pump, radiant, oil, hot water, solar and geothermal. This is based on data gathered through Nest’s online compatibility tool.

Smart thermostats can range from doing almost everything but making you coffee in the morning. They are programable and can be controlled via WIFI or if you want even from our office. There are a lot of different functions but the one I like the best is controlling and checking in on my house even when I’m not home.
Programmable thermostats are just that… programable. You can set schedules, save on heating costs and help offset utilities.

Smart thermostats are programmable thermostats taken to the next level of connectivity and comfort. You can control these thermostats from your computer, tablet or phone which means you can adjust your home’s temperature remotely.
Though they are the most expensive, these thermostats have the best comfort features and also save you money every month on your utility bills.
